Developed color of medium intensity. Intense nose, featuring very ripe fruit and a slight oxidative quality, with a hint of wet wool. Not at its best. Soft on the attack—immediately highly flavorful and melting—the body proves taut and precise in its tannins and flavor profile. A very long, sapid finish. The texture is more reminiscent of great dry white wines than of reds; here, the tannins recede into the background. Superb. (2017)
