It’s Vieux Château Certan’s purpose to produce wine in its purest and most natural form. From the moment the first grapes ferment until the bottling of the wine, no further products as yeast are added. This results in an excellent Vieux Château Certan 1993, which year after year receives great evaluations and critics from world wide renowned wine experts.
The 1993 vintage has been perfect for the grapes’ development and ripening. A cold winter was followed by a warm spring and hot and dry summer. The rather low yields delievered small berries, that were well nourished by healthy vine canopies with maximum photosynthesis potential. 1993 brought a wine that is ripe, tannic, balanced with amazing fruit and wonderful acidity.
- Mouth: light, but quite tasty, a nice spicy flavor, a touch of snuff, silky mouth feel.
- Nose: notes of tea, earth, sous bois, red fruit, herbaceous notes.
